I learnt a lot from the family tree project because I never knew that in had a Jewish grandfather on my mom's side. My mom doesn't talk about him much. He left my mom when she was little because of his religion. He didn't want to leave but, he must marry another person who believes in the same religion with him. Religion. Now he lives in California, He is the father of his church. I have never meet my grandfather, and i plan not to because he is living his life fine without knowing he has a granddaughter. But i always wonder is he does know I'm living and breathing.
I also learnt that my step-grandfather on my dad's can speak very well Chinese. He use to go to school in China. He lived there for two months but he speaks like he lived there for years. It was good that he went to school there because he wouldn't have meet my grandma. Here how the story goes.
My grandfather was back from China. He was walking on the streets in the District of Columbia. He saw my grandma, he thought she was Chinese, but she turned out to be Vietnamese. He walked to her, to show off his Chinese skills, but my grandma didn't understand him. But he still fell in live with her, because she was so beautiful, and smelled like flowers. That is how my my grandfather and grandmother meet.
